Finding the rooms
Enter on Muir Street rather than on Erin Street itself — look for the door around the corner. Your appointment letter will confirm the suite. If you cannot find us, ring the rooms and someone will talk you in.
Parking
Street parking around Erin Street is metered and time-limited, and it fills through the middle of the day. Read the signs carefully, allow time to find a space, and if you are coming for a long appointment consider the paid parking at Epworth Richmond on Bridge Road.
Public transport
Trams 48 and 75 run along Bridge Road and route 78 runs along Church Street, both a short walk away. East Richmond is the closest station, with Richmond station a little further. Check the Public Transport Victoria journey planner for current times.
Access
Tell my rooms when you book if you need step-free access, a wheelchair-accessible room, an interpreter, extra time, or help on arrival. It is easier to arrange in advance than on the day.

What happens at this site

Consulting Antenatal visits Gynaecology In-room procedures

These are my main rooms and where most of your care happens: your first appointment, antenatal visits through pregnancy, gynaecology consultations, in-room procedures, and your postnatal review. Surgery and birth take place at the affiliated hospitals.

If you are deciding where to have your baby, we will talk it through at one of your early visits — the comparison of the three birth sites is a good place to start beforehand.

Coming to an appointment

What to bring
Your referral, Medicare card, health fund details, and any scans, results or letters you have. A list of your medications is helpful, including anything you buy over the counter.
Bringing someone
You are welcome to bring your partner, a support person or your children. There is seating in the waiting room, though it is a small space — tell us in advance if you are bringing several people.
Running late
Ring the rooms. Obstetric work is unpredictable and I am sometimes called away to a birth, so clinics occasionally run late or need to be moved — my rooms will always let you know as soon as they can.
Fees
Consultation fees and any out-of-pocket costs are explained before you come, and set out in writing for surgery and for pregnancy care. See fees and informed financial consent.

Surgery and birth do not take place at Erin Street. Your operation or birth will be booked at one of the affiliated hospitals and confirmed in writing beforehand. If you are more than 20 weeks pregnant and worried, go to the birth suite at your booked hospital — not to these rooms.
